I see a lot of doubled dies come up on here And I just cant seem to grasp what I'm looking at on older coins. newer coins are easier. what are some tell tale signs on a Wheat cent thanks everyone Report this Post to the Staff

Oijogja Pillar of the Community United States 715 Posts	Posted 12/22/2019 04:09 am They are the same signs as on your newer coins, actually, although the tendency may be to see doubling around the periphery of the coin instead of the central design elements. The older coins might be harder to see if they're more worn from circulation, but that would hold true for newer coins that have seen a lot of wear as well.
