question I have been trying to go through my wheat cents. I see a lot of doubled dies come up on here And I just cant seem to grasp what I'm looking at on older coins. newer coins are easier. what are some tell tale signs on a Wheat cent

They are the same signs as on your newer coins, actually, although the tendency may be to see doubling around the periphery of the coin instead of the central design elements. The older coins might be harder to see if they're more worn from circulation, but that would hold true for newer coins that have seen a lot of wear as well. If you have questions about specific coins of yours, feel free to post images and we'll try to point out what we're seeing.
