Can you give the weight and diameter? At any rate I can see a year 1294, and if this is AH dating it is roughly AD 1877.

@xod, I'm about 80% sure that this is a silver Rupee from Afghanistan (Barakzai Dynasty). You should wait and let others either confirm or correct this. Here is a link to a similar piece for sale on ebay:

Yes, good work all, confirming it's a silver rupee from Afghanistan, Barakzai, Sher Ali (3rd reign 1868-1879), Kabul mint, AH 1294, KM#521
