This one is more designed for weddings, rather than Persian New Year or generic celebrations. The design on the reverse is a setting of a traditional
Persian wedding-table: a mirror, two candelabras, ceremonial food, etc. Coins are traditionally scattered about the place at Persian weddings; poorer families who can't afford to give away real coins use tokens like these instead.
Of course, in modern Iran, the use of tokens might be more normal since inflation and economic collapse has rendered most coins completely valueless and probably hard to come by.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
