This coin is 13mm and 1 sided. The second side either wore off or was never there. the year is 1704 and it looks like the possible denomination is 1/2 of something. I'm assuming the missing side must have had a legend of some sort.

@jay, that is a neat little coin you have there. I agree with the date being 1704; however, I'm about 75% sure that it is a uniface billon Half Kreuzer. I'm just unsure of the specific German City State. Under the crown, I see the imperial eagle and perhaps a structure. I've gone through my Krause to no avail and can't find anything on numista either, but hopefully someone else can use these clues to help find an exact attribution for you.

Added:

It's from the German County of Montfort! Here is a link to a similar coin issued a little later in the 18th Century:

I wonder if yours is truly uniface or if the 1/2 denomination has been worn flat. Can you please post a pic of this other side? Thx.

Spence: I think you're right. I just looked it up in Krause. Looking closer I don't think there ever was a reverse. The reverse is below.

Ok good to know! I don't think that this one is in numista, so consider adding it yourself.
