1928 Wheat Penny Doubled Die Obverse / DDO Or Machine Double?

Hokuto7291 Valued Member United States 161 Posts	Posted 12/24/2019 8:54 pm I found this decent Wheat penny today and was looking at it through my jewlers loupe. First the Y in liberty seems to be doubled,bad well as the date. It is really noticeable on the 928. I apologise for the pictures, but this is the best I can do until I get a coin scope. In the meanwhile, the letter Y looks more like circulation flattening and the shelf-like doubling on the date looks like MD, but I'd like to see what others think too as it is a little unclear from these pics. Or thin boxes, which is what I use. Keeps the phone steady and allows it to focus while you snap the image. It will be helpful to get an adjustable desk lamp or gooseneck for lighting as well.
