After looking at it and then the close up of the metal. I think a Buffalo nickel was pressed into this coin

I see what you are referencing, but it's pure Pareidolia. It's not anything of interest, really. Your photo editing app may not be helping, either, as it appears it added features to the original that are not there in order to "enlighten" a face that doesn't exist.

Yes weird for sure, but I agree with @spruette that it is Pareidolia.

I would like to see a full image of both sides. (Note you can see the 1917 nickel date also on the coin) A full shot might show us more. If the design of a nickel that year shows on both sides, you might have something there? If not, you may have just an altered coin with a soft die used on it. More images please.

I haven't looked at your replies until right now. After I posted I felt like I just acted a scene of A beautiful mind. However I just looked at what I did and it does kind of work

Sorry, not buying it. It's like seeing a dog riding a bicycle in the clouds. If the cent was "struck" you'd see evidence in other areas as well.

Looking at it again, I am almost certain that the "Ultimate Photo Mixer" app you used for the first pic altered the image more to what was expected than what actually exists. Can you share what app that is?

Looks like this app lets you add one image to another and blend the edges so that it looks like all one pic.
