Hello! I have a 1966 Washington quarter with United States of America stamped on Obverse beginning at the lower back neck of Washington going up. I've researched and can't find any of the 1966 Washington quarters with this error.

Can anyone help with this. Just wanting to validate my find.

I'm new if I've posted incorrectly I'll happily take constructive criticism!

Hi atxpro, to the forum.

This is known as a vise job. Someone took another coin and forcibly clamped them together, transferring a reverse image into this coin. Ultimately this is post-mint damage ( PMD), and not an error that would increase this coin's value. Keep on looking and feel free to ask more questions.

First welcome to CCF. Second, I agree with @oij that this coin was damaged by someone trying to manufacture a mint error. Sorry but it is just worth face value.
