@hoof, first welcome to CCF. Second, yes that looks like a well-placed hit has taken some of the metal from the letter I and moved it into a bit of a serif.

Either a well placed die chip or PMD, need better pictures to decide. Is it worth getting looked at? Well if it's PMD, no, just damage, literally nothing special about it. If it's a die chip, still not worth getting it looked at. They are common, but still a neat find. If it is a die chip, keep in and store it in a 2x2 flip. Do not waste the money or time of getting this looked at. Edited by SilverCents

Looks like a die chip to me.
