Hello all,
thanks for taking the time to view my post and thanks in advance for anyone able to help out. I found this 1924 D Buffalo CRH last week, since then I have searched many sources; RedBook, wexlers, varietyvista etc. in search of identifying the variety and have came up empty handed every time. I am still a novice for the most part but I was wondering if someone could help out if I missed a listed variety, or if its possibly a new one. I also could use pointers in the event that its Machine Doubling instead of die doubling. To my inspections the lines do look smoothly rounded and not stepped like in most MD. Any help is appreciated. The coin has great luster when in the light, I read over the RedBook and think its at least VF or maybe AU grade. I will attach images of the obverse, reverse, and close ups of the doubled areas; chin, nose, forehead, lips, eyelid, and feather. Thanks again to any who can help.

I would grade this VF-20, and it looks like it probably has
been polished.

to the CCF!

Thank you so much for the help with the grade, I am still unfamiliar with the numbers so it helps out a lot. I shouldve taken a better pic of the reverse, It has some toning and dirty places so I'm not sure if it was polished or if so they left out the back. Hoping someone can give me details on the doubling, if I am correct on it being a new find for a DDO or if its Machine Doubling, worth sending in to PCGS or NCG etc. THanks again

I'd say Machine Doubling and not worth the cost to send to a TPGS.
