My father and I used to coin hunt when I was younger...he recently passed and I found an old coin of his in a drawer. I coin hunt some with the one child I have that's interested, so kind of know what to look for, but am still clueless. Is the reverse on this one rotated or am I seeing things? I have some Buffalo nickels that are rotated on the back, but I think that's common for them. I just can't find anything online about this with the V's. The only other one I own is centered...this one points is slanted more to the right.

.... to the Community!

We really can't tell too much about die rotation unless we can see both sides of the coin at the same time. To do that you have to use a mirror and that's a whole other thread on how to do it.

As far as your pictures go, just "preview" your post before submitting it. If it looks correct in the preview then it should be correct when you post it. If it doesn't look right then go back and edit your picture and try again.

Posting photos here can be difficult till you get the hang of it. Once you do a few of them it should get easier.

Compare it to some modern coins and the orientation of the obverse and reverse, if you flip it "head over feet" or feet over head, regardless the reverse should be right side up as well if that makes sense. if you flip a coin side to side, one side will be upside down...or should be. if not then the dies were rotated in the coin press.
