1920 Lincoln Cent - Need Help Identifying Error- Struck Through, Die Damage

ShineOn Valued Member United States 84 Posts	Posted 12/31/2019 8:56 pm I found this in my Dad's coin hoard and it looks to me like it could be some form of struck-through or catastrophic die damage. I don't think this is post-mint damage. coin is slightly convex on the obverse side. Some elements are sharp, some are unusually smooth and some are missing. The rim looks flattened. Reverse has several design elements missing and is slightly concave. The glop at the base of the bust on the obverse has a corresponding glop on the reverse northwest of the O in One. Do you concur this is likely not post-mint damage, and would it be worthwhile sending it in to be graded and evaluated? If you need me to post additional pics, please feel free to ask. Thanks!
