VF-30 straight, rims distract, very common date in common grade. Don't see the appreciation potential here in any way.

VF35 details, heavily cleaned, extensive rim damage. This one would go in my "cull" box, unfortunately.

I don't believe this coin was cleaned . Circulated Large Cents can take on many different colors light & dark .

If that was cleaned, it was a long time ago. The crud in the deepest parts of the design hasn't been disturbed. I wouldn't see any problem with it trading straight up as a VF on a bourse floor. At $21, you're on the low end of the price range, and certainly don't have much (if any) downside.
