This was a cherry-pick today for $19. I'm happy with it being above AG, but I'm worried it will come out to be cleaned because of the reverse's look although it looks perfectly ok in hand. The scratches on the obverse-would They detail the coin? Sorry for the bad quality of pictures. These larger coins get harder to photograph . Thanks for taking a look!

Some would say G-06, others might say VG-08.

VG8. I'm betting that the reverse may pull the details designation for cleaning

I was afraid it might be cleaned. Hopefully this reverse pic will
Show the color better:

The first pic above of the reverse looks washed out. Thanks to you both!

VG Details Cleaned. But in all honesty it's irrelavent. The scarcity of the VAM is what makes it interesting.

Thanks and your right. I was very happy to have found this guy. With all the popularity and value that comes with this coin, the dealers are checking these more often. I'm lucky they didn't check this one. I may just ANACS slab this someday. Since I won't be selling it I don't see any harm in a slab .

If you decide to do so, let me know. I have a submission going out to NGC in a few weeks and I'd be more than happy to tag it on to save you the return shipping. You'd just have to cover the fees for slabbing + attribution.

VG-8. The reverse does have a slightly abraded look to it compared with the obverse. I don't think the small scratches on the obverse would detail it. Nice cherry pick!

Thanks Zurie! I'm happy with this despite the cleaning, which is unfortunate.

Thanks GC! I appreciate your kind offer. It may go out in a bulk ANACS slabbing from my next coin show.

I'd go VG08. Nice cherrypick and just a well-circulated honest coin.

VG-8 but I'm not sure it has been cleaned. Sometimes photo lighting gives it that appearance. Looking at your close up of the lips, the surfaces look original.

Thanks IndianGoldEagle. I can try for some close ups of the reverse if that helps any.

-CH27

Edit: here are some close ups of the reverse to show surfaces. Hope it helps and thanks again.
