Last summer I took advantage of PCGS public submission in Irvine, CA and provided my two Canadian issued Pride of Two Nations Set. I submitted the coins and all the documents and original packaging as issued by Canada and specifically stated that I wanted to make sure that PCGS acknowledged these were the Canadian issued coins on the holders. The PCGS attendant didn't seem to really understand and was basically just an order taker, so I wrote the instructions on the submission form. Several days later I followed up with a call to PCGS to make sure that they got the order right along with my instructions to denote these as the Canadian issued coins; this conversation did little to give me any confidence with an apparent lack of comprehension on the other end of the phone. Well, sure enough when I received the graded coins the holders say US Set. WRONG. I doubt there is a thing I can do to fix this, since PCGS didn't seem to care about getting it right in the first place.

You will never know until you call them and discuss the situation.

Good luck!

Have to ask the question, but why such a delay for a post if you never even tried to have the supposed issue fixed? It would have been several weeks/months now since getting it back

Jim,
Do not give up. Call PCGS as many times as it takes for them to get it right. Good luck to you.

I am sure PCGS would fix the problem
if
you re submit as before, along with a dump screen of this thread.

Questionable if it's worth my time. Let me add, the coins came back PF-69 (all of them), so even if PCGS would reholder them, by the time I pay for 2-way postage/insurance and possible additional fees the value may not justify it. I might take them to a Long Beach show in the future. I should have been more specific in my post -- I was wondering if others have had this problem with PCGS.

You need to call them and reference your submission and your specific requests that you made.

They didn't do what you asked. Either they over-looked it or ignored it.

That is not acceptable.

You can talk about it here all day but until you get someone knowledgeable on the phone from PCGS you are .......
