1991 LMC with tripling on the reverse. See the top of the T in CENT. If Machine Doubling exists, there has to be machine tripling. Or can I at least get a DDR. Let's see what the pros say.

Business strike coins are only struck once. So depending on the looseness of the machine, the dies will alter the devices as it pleases. The strikes happen several coins per second.

On a doubled die, the die is doubled, not double struck. Proof coins are double struck and show Machine Doubling (I prefer Strike Doubling because they are double struck), but this is not what causes a doubled die. On a doubled die, the doubling is on the die, not caused by the strike. Proof coins are double struck to enhance the strike quality.
