Hi I checked this coin at italian forum and it actually said the 1957 100 L coin is valued at 200 then checking at other forum posts it said italians are critical or coin condition .im picturong the suspected 1957 coin here .if this coins only worth 2 dollars I guess the post saying it has to be mint condition is wrong.i hope its not an infringment of rules to question a coins worth .can someone who had this situation comment and thank's

It's not just Italians; for all coin collectors everywhere, value is very strongly dependent on condition. Here is the NGC database page for this coin; as you can see, prices range from 30 cents to 25 dollars, depending on condition. It does not list it as a particularly expensive coin; even in top grades it's only worth US$25, so unless the Italians know something that the people who write the Krause catalogue don't know, the people saying it's "valued at 200" (dollars? euros?) are wrong.

The coin you are showing on the left looks like a worn coin, and in my LCS it would sell for 15 cents.

@spongbob, if you do a sold items search on ebay, you will see that circulated examples of this coin sell for between about $1 and $4.

This series of Italian coins is deceptive because the stainless steel does not wear very much, but it does acquire a lot of fine scratches. So it is easy to think the coin is in a higher grade than a buyer would think. (cameras are very cruel to these coins)

I have sold a few of these 1950s and 1960s Italian coins on ebay ... ALWAYS for less than I think I will get. This semi-key 1959 50 lire coin got me a great big $2.50, and it has only 1/10 the mintage of your coin. I have tried selling a 1957 100 lire in a lot with other 100 lire coins at under $3 and never succeeded.
