That is an absolutely beautiful 1918 SLQ!!

Let's see what I can dig up for 1918.

This is one of my favorites, because it combines history with art and numismatics. (The 5 Ces. is 1918, although the postcard is a 1917.)

My 1918 SLQ, not nearly as nice as the one above, but an honest, problem-free original coin.

Tdiziema or however you spell your name (Sorry dyslexia and an old computer that crashes if you have more than two tabs open - I will be replacing it when lockdown ends).

I was not criticising Siggy as some people called him, I used it as context as some people who got huffy when I criticised the high number of US coins in the late 1930s (1936 when they issued 5872 different half dollars) criticized George V - who ruled some 700 million of the 1.5 billion people in the world at this time - whereas the USA had a population of 100 million then.

I really found those pages funny and the coins nice - the late 16th and early 17th century jetons from Belgium and Holland with plans of sieges and battlefields were great.

I loved all the Siggy coins and some comments like one of a naive portrait of Queen Christina of Sweden on a 1650 coin made me laugh. Also someone said Charles 12 of Sweden bucked the early 18th/ late 17th century trend of wearing big wigs as they may look too "sissified" yet a 1698 coin of him, he has a bigger permed wig than Elton John!

I knew all the comments were tongue in cheek, but also many numismatists seem to have no sense of humour and take every remark as a personal attack.

Thanks for the praise of the Commonwealth coin too, I was worried I had bought a fake, but that coin is so "used" no one would want to fake anything that heapy (Kiwi slang = heap of s#$t) looking and 1656 was a common date for them!

Here is a really worn and infuriating King George V sixpence for you all. The best thing about is that its silver.
