Interesting the comment about George V - He ruled 1910 - 1936 with coins 1911 onwards. In 1920 The British empire reached its apogee and thus they very high number of coins with him.
Add to that with Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Rhodesia, South Africa all starting coinages or adding new parts to thei coinages in his reign. In this era, the Red of the British empire was the largest empire in the world and it does not really shrink much until we reach the 1820s. Plus we have the coinages of the UK Canada, some Asian colonies like Malaya and India which are plastered with his portrait.
But come May 10 we move back into Edward VII for 8 whole days.
Wait until we endure 60+ years of Queen Victoria! We should start with her on May 19 in 1901 and not finish up until July 21, when we reach 1838 (Provided we have no more site crashes or breakdowns).
Even funnier is on the 5th edition of this thread was the same comments about Sigismund II Vasa who was King of Sweden for a few years, but Poland, Lithuania and several Eastern European cities from 1587 to 1632 and his coins were very prolific anc common for the era.

Hey, dem's fightin' words  Yes, indeed, his coins get a bit tiresome (though there are actually a few years of that reign with with no affordable portrait coins), and I am just waiting to inflict them on everyone ... starting 291 days from now  As for Victoria, we can at least look forward to the occasional portrait change. BTW, I took a look at that COmmonwealth half-crown. Super coin with a lot of character. Bravo! Edited by tdziemia
