Great coins guys - Pepa (I hope you don't mind that as your name is quite long and technical for my simple dyslexic brain to type out). I love your sovereign.

1918 is my least impressive of the late 1910s years.

A very average Half Crown for this year to start off with.

Probably gVG condition - it starts a mediocre series of British coins I have (Except a nice penny).

However 1917 and 1916 are going to be BUMPER years for me.

This penny is a lot nicer, even if cleaned probably with citric acid (Lemon based) sometime in the past.

Some unknown worn papery/cardboard gunk adheres to the Obverse, otherwise its a gFine near VF penny pretty much.

1918 is such an interesting year, with the end of the war and 1918 pandemic of influenza, similar to Covid 19 - 20 - 30 million people died, more than WW1 in total.

In New Zealand 8,750 died out of a population of 1.1 million.

This book was really interesting and a great lockdown project for me to read.

Here is a nice farthing, again unknown stain on back, but I bought most of these English bronze coins in a collection in February and there was extensive staining on many and it was in a 1970s style PVC album.

I removed everything straight away and hot washed, letting it dry and then sit exposed for a few days before sorting and adding to new storage in either Plastic bags or coin holders made of mylar.

Again I can't be held responsible for the imbecile owners before me.
