Numisrob - Yes you can thank J.B. Priestley there, I have a beautiful old 1969 book about the regency I bought a few years ago which drew my attention to the Tsar's visit. It's called the Prince of Pleasure and is very lavish dealing with each year from 1809 to 1820.
No 1780s coins for me except a worn Spanish real from 178? it has Carlos III so it must be 1787 or earlier.

The most lowball-iest lowball of lowball Connecticut Coppers I've ever seen, found in a junk lot of British halfpennies. The date is very faintly visible in hand. The extreme amount of circulation is slightly offset by this being a rare variety (75-100 known examples or fewer.) Despite the wear, the coin is mostly free of problems or damage, the planchet flaws being pre-strike defects. 1787 is the one year in the middle of George III's reign when a decent amount of silver coins were struck, although only sixpences and shillings... 1787 British sixpence:  1787 British shilling:  These coins have complicated abbreviations showing all the King's titles, including Elector of Hanover and King of France - a title British monarchs claimed until the Revolution. The titles were radically shortened with the great re-coinage of 1816. Edited by NumisRob

Entirely true.
Apart from the 1763 Northumberland shillings, the first decent British silver coins since 1758!
I don't have any, which is strange given they are fairly common. Yours are very nice especially that sixpence.
