1943 saw a good issue of coins in New Zealand, all but the half penny was issued. Unlike other war years, plentiful numbers of coins were issued. These are the 4 "other" coins. A Penny and Florin in top row. Shilling and Sixpence below. The silver coins are in VG, the average condition for coins of this era, you will notice most of my Kiwi coins have been much better than these. But to steal a note out of NumisRob's book and the virtually complete sets of American and Canadian coins I may join the wave.

Now for the superstars - a glorious half crown 1943 had over 1 million issued and thus we have a true stunner here, EF to gEF like the 1945. One of my favourites and I got it fairly cheap (Less than the 1944). Also a very nice AU threepence Lots of lustre and a true stunner. Coins like these are my goal and the 4 coins in the post I did before (In case some one sneaks in as I do this post) are good reasons why I am not showing every Kiwi predecimal coin!

1943 UK set - no pennies were issued from 1941 to 1943: Close-up of my 1943 florin. My brother got this in change in the mid-1970s and saved it for me because he reckoned it was in much better condition than usual for a coin of its age!
