Man Pepactonius you don't muck around do you?

1941 saw another full issue of coins in New Zealand and generally fairly high numbers issued for a war year.

The 5 lower coins, as expected the Bronze coins are gFine to VF and the silver is G - VG. Most of my shillings look cleaned as I bought a lot I thought were nice, but all appeared to be cleaned, as they were cheap (About $3 a coin) and average condition was gVG to Fine - I decided they would do until I upgrade them in the future.

Here I would say the Bronze is VF (Although Halfpenny stained). The shilling is gVG and the 3d is probably Fine whereas the 6d is truly nasty and only Good (George is a silhouette basically)

The numbers of Bronze coins issued were quite low compared to 1940, but from 1942 to 1945 amounts of coins shot up, thus making 1941 a fairly desirable year for bronze collectors.
The 6d saw a very low mintage of 240k coins and hence why mine is quite nasty.

Now in amongst the gleaming American and Canadian coins (Which I love - and I know early 40s coins are easy to get in nice condition and again u guys choose the very best) - we have a decent pair of Kiwis.

I am upgrading the Halfcrowns and Florins first and so here we have some way above average coins.

The Halfcrown is gVF to aEF and a nice coin - however the Florin is a true stunner and basically EF or almost therabouts. Apart from 1960s Cupronickel ones - this is my best florin by a long shot.

Drink it in guys as the Florins will get steadily worse
