Two 5 ore coins of Denmark dated 1941. Two different types.

The aluminium coin was for use in Denmark itself (Jutland, Zealand, Skagen etc) and was a product of German occupation, nasty and battered and as common as dirt. A coin that speaks suffering.

The other was the old type of 5 ore minted from the 1920s to the start of the war - these coins were minted in Copenhagen, but sent straight to the Faeroe Islands - one year only. Unlike the Danish coin, with only 150k minted - scarce and a VF one like this probably has a book value of $50 or so (Amazing as I bought in a junk lot at a price of 5 cents a coin - I had no idea it was so scarce).
