Just an idea, how about we separate the American coins into their own thread and world into others.

No disrespect I love American coins, but when the same coin is posted 3 or 4 times every year and its in the same proof condition it gets tiresome. I myself like worn coins from exotic places. I know as this is a Amerocentric board, people will naturally get offended, but oh well.

Just an idea, moderators feel free to delete this post if its too offensive to some.

It would be more fair to ban the posting of coins that circulated in our own countries.

Well if it helps, my postings have been very diverse, UK, Ceylon, New Guinea, Fiji, Denmark to name a few, most of yours are just USA. I never said ban, I said open up a thread to show all the American coins and one other to show non American coins - these coins will get all the views and joys they have now - no one is banning anything - I actually love Mercury dimes, walkers and with the Barber and Seated series coming - I mean wow. But a part of me loves to see coins from other countries too.

I will admit I have been laying it on thick with NZ, but previous versions of this thread have almost none and I am really proud of some of my Kiwi coins and want to share them with you. Those shiny Halfcrowns cost money and I love them.

Yes I show my country as very few coins from my country seem to be here and most of you have not seen them before and if you hate them that much, well you just have 4 years to go and "Poof" no more coins from New Zealand.

I knew I would open a can of worms here. However back on topic

A 1936 British halfpenny in very nice condition (EF) You will notice now the Britannia shown is different from 1937 onwards pennies and was first seen on 1895 dated coins.

Princetane - that's a lovely 1936 halfpenny!

I like the variety and range of coins. There is bound to be a large number of US coins in the 1930s thanks to the Classic Commemoratives explosion. I generally only post US coins myself when I've got a particularly nice one: my Walking Liberty halves, for instance, can't compare to the stunning ones posted here!

I disagree. Many people just collect their own country's coins. And, when we get back to the 1830s or 1820s, people have so few coins to choose from that this could kill the thread completely!
