This coin is my first unidentified 2020 purchase - not just because it is the first 2020 purchase I post for identification here, but also because it is (as far as I remember) the first coin I bought in 2020 that I had not yet been able to identify.

I do have a huge deja vu about it, as if I've already had (and photographed!) one of those. Some day I might even end up finding those pics. Probably not now, though.

At least I'm fairly sure it's Islamic, and probably a dirham (if it's silver, at least, which I'm not 100% certain of) - even if its condition (lots of flan marks, as far as I can tell) might not necessarily allow full ID...

25 mm (for the circle, less on the uneven parts), 1.13 grams (might have been higher, but not by much).
...Which, in retrospect, is pretty darn light for a dirham.

If needed, I'm willing to try making photos showing off a particular area better. It's mostly really that bad, though.

By far the closest Zeno match (still not quite it, but everything else of anywhere near the right size and weight looks even farther off).

[EDIT: agree that it's probably more likely to be a fals, though if so it's unexpectedly yellow; changed the title.]

I believe it's a fals rather than a dirham, perhaps Samanid or Qarakhanid.
