The picture is a little blury , but from what I can see it looks like a bullion round ,, does it have a silver weight and purity anywhere on it ?
it would look something like this 1 Ounce .999 fine silver or something to that effect .

I havent heard of a $20 silver coin from 1907? The pic is blurry but vaguely looks like the $20 Liberty Gold coin.

it could either be a bullion round or a plated replica ,,we will know more when the question gets answered .

That doesn't look like a copy or a silver bullion. Maybe it's a 20, gold. But a better picture will help

It is written Unted States of America - Twenty Dollars Motto-In God We Trust with Libert Head 1907 in the front. Thanks for all responses. Lux Image: coindoublemottoo.jpg101.9 KB

It is written Unted States of America - Twenty Dollars Motto-In God We Trust, and on the seal E Pluribus Unum. There seems to be a D. The Liberty Head 1907 in the front. Thanks for all responses. Lux Image: coindoublemottoo.jpg101.9 KB

A replica of what? I've never heard of a $20 silver piece.

I guess I better pull my head out of the sand and get some coffee! I am on a 16 hour day today at work. All I saw was $20 Liberty Double and jumped the gun. Thought was a $20 Double Eagle! I will wake up now!

A better picture is still needed - both Obverse and Reverse, with better light. The picture is far too blurry to tell if it is a mint issue, pattern, silver round or counterfeit. Some deceptive counterfeits exist that are plated after they are struck in base metal. China does this for some of their "replica" "gold" coins, much in the same way that they artificially tone their large cent "replicas".

lux - here is an easy tip for better pictures. 1)Use the macro feature in your digital camera with decent lighting. 2)Use some boxes or tripod to stabilize the camera 2)Crop the edges using an editing program until close to the coin. 3)Reduce to about 400x400 pixels. Should look like this to even be useful. This was one of my early attempts.

Hehe, didn't mean to confuse anyone. I wanted to show lux what was needed to ID his coin, at the minimum. Just happens to be gold AND 1907.

it seems to have the correct design as a real $20 double eagle but if its silver it can't be an original double eagle. And I see no way a real double eagle could be mistaken as being silver
