So this was found in my uncle's coin stash that I'm am now going through. Any help is greatly appreciated. I cannot find this anywhere on the net. Been searching for a couple days now.. and stumped... weight 9.9 grams.

Sorry, but no, it's not Roman, and not a coin.

It's a very, very crude copy, in brass, of a Spanish colonial coin - that's clearly the Bourbon Spanish lions-and-castles coat-of-arms, with the Spanish pillars-and-scrolls on either side, and there appears to be a somewhat blundered name of king Ferdinand VII. However, the long hair and headband is rather novel, and gives the coin a rather "ancient Persian" look.

Welcome to the forum.

The shape of that shield is not Roman. It is Western European late mediaeval onwards.

That is an odd piece--I agree not old, but I've never seen that "swirly" texture on a coin surface before.
