Hi, I'm new to this forum and found this cent in my spare change. It looks like it has a RPM, S over D. Also the reverse has an error on the verse E Pluribus Unum. I'm not sure if it's post mint damage. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Cannot see the MM in the photo to well. The reverse shows a weak die (common) before it fails.

Is that a bubble on the MM? Try poking it with a tooth pick to see if it is soft.

Bubbles appear most in blisters related to zinc rot. This cent has no zinc, so therefore no zinc rot. I don't think its a blister under the mintmark. Could be, but I doubt it. Hard to tell, but could be repunched mintmark , Looks like the large date 1970-S. Could you post a close up of "Liberty," please?

Reverse is what we call a " Greaser"...the devices on the die were filled with grease and did not allow for a full striking

Thanks for all the input, I'm sorry my images aren't great, I'm using an iPhone camara at the moment. Here is an enlarged pic of "liberty". I'm wondering if I should roll this coin or keep it? Any advice?

LIBERTY looks to be bold, not mushy, so further confirmation of the more common large date variety. I'll let others comment on the rpm question. There could be something under the S, but it could be just glare as well. Should you keep it? I live in Ohio where most of us keep all S mintmarks since they aren't real common. When the question of "should I keep it" arises, I like to quote fellow CCF member coop when he wrote, "keep what you would buy." Is it worth a couple of cents to you? Only you can answer that one. If not, throw it back. Good luck. And I almost forgot, to the CCF!

Thanks you all very much for the input. I think I will hang on to it for awhile. This is a great learning experience and still learning from other forums on this site.
