The obverse looks close to UNC but the reverse is badly stained with something.

Or, if the surface is highly reflective, this could be a reflection of the camera or photographer, rather than a stain.

Very nice example of this high mintage issue. The NGC valuation of $5-10 in MS grades appears pretty good for an unslabbed example.

There is also a proof, which is rarer.

Second the question on gold. How could that reverse toning be on a gold coin? I ask as I'm trying to learn.

I do have a modern square gold coin, but it is a
300 Guilders of Netherlands Antilles.
