The front of this coin looks a little damaged, but also looks like the clad is missing somewhat. The back of the coin looks like it is almost 100% missing. Or is this just a damaged coin? I'd like to see what the community thinks about this one. Thanks in advance!

Spendable. I wouldn't give this one a quarter of a second of looking at. Damage is the the beginning of the end for this coin.

Looks like just toning and environmental damage.

We get presented with this same issue at least once a day. The copper plating has been chemically or environmentally striped away. Your coin is damaged, it is not an error that occurred at the mint, it is post mint damage, simple as that. As coop said above, spend it and move on.

Thanks all. Anyone have a good example of what a legitimately missing copper coin looks like? I have seen many posts on here in my searching with people asking but have not come across one yet.

I agree with Merclover... I sent in a cent recently that was Zinc in color and only weighed 1.9 grams. After a couple of messages I saw what they were seeing. Some chemical ate away the copper. I kept it as a learning tool.
