I did some research and found that they are both just regular mint marks. They are the small s used from 1917-1940. The coins are 1940 and 1941. Thank you all for your replies.
All Mercury dimes had normal S mint marks with the EXCEPTION of 1928 and 1941, they were both struck with large and small S's . And in 1945 the mint produced large and Micro S's.
