New Error On The 1979 Quarter - Coin Community Forum

When I crop and enhance it, though, I am in agreement with @jasper62 and @john1 that there is circulation damage that is roughly in the shape of those numbers. This one is a spender. There is no way during the striking of a coin that a 56 could all of a sudden appear unless it was on the die itself in which case it would be on every coin that die struck.
