This is a specialized field of study. I bought this coin as it did not appear to be a replica, but dirty, broken maybe older... Can a member ID it?

Begin your search with Kang-hsi (Kangxi) 1661-1722, Hartill 2005, pages 285-291

Thanks for the clue to state/province and era. I was using an old Krause World Coin Catalogue from 1987 but could find nothing, then googled, I am going NO WHERE. Why not ask for help. Thank You

@ias, that is a nice pick-up although pretty common I think. If you don't have access to Hartill, then numista.com can be super-useful. For example, using the keywords KANGXI and CASH bring me to multiple examples of your late 17th/early 18th Century cast Cash. I do note that there are likely sub-varieties and the book is probably the best way to chase down that level of detail.
