There is only one Liberty die break from the 1940's with the break occurring before the L of Liberty that is listed. This one that I pulled from a bag of wheats will be another. Below and slightly above the L is the remnants of a lam as well.

Looks like a Cud below Liberty (8 o'clock), and a Retained Die Break on the L.

Merclover , the lighting is probably deceptive. That area is incuse, it's a lam.

Ah, ok, it appears to be bulging slightly, but I see now it is not. Yes, probably a lam.

Interesting find!

Just thinking out loud here, but I wonder if the die chip to the left of the L is best called a Cud (since it has rim involvement). Any thoughts?
