Forked crosses sometimes appear on English hammered coins, but they do not look quite like this. Weird coin, the sans serif letters look more modern than medieval. Report this Post to the Staff

Also, I can't find a single coin on either numista or xeno with those two words so maybe this is a church token of some sort? Sap Moderator Australia 16831 Posts	Posted 01/23/2020 10:17 pm The details on the "dios salve" side look hand-carved onto the coin; if it's supposed to be a mediaeval coin, then it may have been "tooled". On the other side, I can't tell if it's been double-struck, or struck over another coin type, but there's clearly a second cross at 45 degrees to the main one.
