A weird day today at work. Lots of time consuming but small sales. Always irritates the boss as he's trying to get a much larger deal done.
I run A LOT of interference on days like this.

Finally the day is winding down and I had put aside a few Barber halves yesterday that I was interested in getting a price on. Here they are.

Boss-Was-In--A-Good-Mood.
Boss-Was-In--A-Good-Mood.

LI and Y are visible on the 08-S. The 15-S not quite as strong.
G4 bid on the two is $13.50 and $11.50 respectively so I'm figuring if I'm lucky he might go $8-10 per coin. He does have buyers for these.

Seems he really does appreciate my "running interference" at times. I got them both for a total of $10.
Wish I had picked out a few more now but can't get greedy.

Ooooo, nice looking low grades Barbers
I see so many G-VG Barbers that have had a hard life- scratched, dinged, scrubbed, polished...
The dove grey tone has great eye appeal

No doubt about that statement.
I've been "toying" with the Barber quarters. Bought 6 yesterday and not all beauties (hole fillers) but the majority look like these.

Low grade but not abused. Almost went for a 13-D but scratches on the face.

Kind of makes you wonder what people DID to these coins. I've seen so many like the examples you stated. Rim dings especially. Nothing like a decent coin with a dent.

Barbers are such hard coins to come by problem free, non cull, with any kind of regularity. When you can find good examples VG and up I say snap em up. Those two are beauties
