It looks like a normal quarter for that year. It does show MD. What is it that you're seeing?

All I see is a small die crack. Other than that everything else looks normal for a coin it's s age.

Sorry zooming in on the d and o looks kinda like a DDR but it could just be the way light hits it

IMO the die crack is the give-away. There's MD from a late die state. At least it's worth bullion value or save it as "interesting".

I do see what appear to be die cracks on the obverse. Interesting coin.

For this quarter, I'd give it a quick bath in acetone, let it dry, and then put it in a 2x2 for safe-keeping. I don't know how rare those die cracks are, but they are quite visible which is nice.
