Posted picture of 1956 D and 1957 D Wheat penny side by side, face head of 56 though containing better detail seems more upright. Is it possible to get some opinions.

Thank you greatly appreciated

Different years, different dies, different die states, different conditions. There are bound to be differences in the coins. There will even be differences between coins of the same year and mint.

I had a few "smaller" than average coins. In the end it wasn't worth anything. I put in a flip and labeled as a smaller coin. Only reason I noticed was that it kept pooping out of an album.

If your going to compare coins, make sure they are of the same year
as the dies can vary slightly from year to year.
Also the mm was hand punched so the positioning and slant of
the mm can be slightly different on each die.
