Could you elaborate on what you are seeing. Thee 44 of the date has engraving doubling that is common for the year. The earlier the die state, the more obvious it is.
Here is an example of the engraving doubling that is earlier die state. The notching on the 4's is what I am referring to. This coin is actually a class VI (extra thickness) doubled die as well.
Also the '1' doesn't look straight. Also the '44's will show angled uprights on the '4s' on a class 6 doubled dies. These are side by sides of normal/different doubled dies.
