I first discovered this forum in 2010 but never registered until now, though I am very glad to be here. I've been interested in coins since I first dug through my dad's change jar at age six, and for most of my life since then I've had a little collection of my own, composed of coins from my change and that I find lying in hallways, parking lots, et cetera. Anything from 1970 or earlier goes in my collection, as does anything from within the past few years, anything sufficiently rare or valuable, any proof coins, or any coins with mold on them (yes, I'm kind of an eccentric, free spirit), as well as anything cool I come across. I got the Red Book 2012 as a present a few years ago and it's actually one of my favourite books!
I hope to learn a lot and spend many hours discussing the over 200 years of mint history found within our United States coins!
