Mystery 1 Dollar (Silver?) - Coin Community Forum

okiepb Pillar of the Community United States 1213 Posts	Posted 01/29/2020 11:20 am I picked up this coin at a flea market for $6 this past weekend, but I have no Idea where it's from. It's heavy and feels like silver and if I drop it on a table, it rings like a silver dollar. I can see it's value is $1, but the reverse is a puzzle. If anyone has any idea where it might be from or any information on it, I'd appreciate it if you would share. Thanks Report this Post to the Staff

The chances of finding a genuine example are very low. Your example has all of the general characteristics of one of the copies NOT of a genuine coin. I suggest a specific gravity test which will quickly determine if the coin is silver or not. Report this Post to the Staff
