Series-1988-A-Dollar-Bill-Error?-Please-Help!

I received this in change the other day and dont know if it's worth anything or if I should just spend it as a dollar bill. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

To the Forum.

Not quite sure what you are considering an error. If your talking about
the slight out of register on the front, it is not off enough to add any value.
A spender.

to CCF. Sorry,it is a spender. Part of the printing has to be missing for it to have a premium. Besides, even if the printing was missing the low condition would keep it from any premium.

Well it's off center on 1 side and its cut wrong. It's wider than a normal dollar bill and has a weird angle cut in 1 corner and a jagged cut in another corner. Actually I would say it's counterfeit if I thought there was any reason to counterfeit a dollar bill.

Welcome to CCF.

The serial number tells us it's hand cut from a BEP issued sheet. Regular series, circulating notes, only go up to 96000000 before starting again at 00000001. It wasn't cut very well and it's in rough shape. I'm unable to see any premium.

Must agree, especially since it was hand-cut from a sheet.
