Because of the ship, which is an icon here in Canada, many many of these were kept in drawers and boxes and not circulated ... so there are quite a few in UNC and higher MS. You have a few dings on yours The coin Trends for only $35 Cdn in MS-62. You could probably sell it for about 70% of that or not much about scrap, but it's a keeper coin ... they are beautiful.

Very nice silver dollar I'll say MS63 or so and, the coin depicts the ship 'Matthew" the ship that John Cabot sailed in when he discovered Newfoundland.

Coin is Not new , scuffs scratches , negative eye appeal.
A really nice example of a 1949; is only 50 bucks.

Thank you for your opinion folks. Very much appreciated . I went with MS 61. Not looking to sell the coin just putting it out there. Love the built in History. Go Canada!
