Unless I can find a pre1930 in MS for a low price, this set is done. Thanks for following my story and collection.

Congratulations on completing your Canada Small Cents collection. Mine looks quite a bit like yours, only difference is, I spent a lifetime on it. Very few of my pre 1960 coins are mint. I started at about age twelve with pennies and nickels to get a badge for Scouting in the 1960s. I turned sixty the year after the last one cent rolled off the presses.

Since the 1960s I have collected other denominations over the years but there is still a soft spot in my heart for the small cents. Like you, I recently (this month), added a slabbed coin to my collection. It is a 1920 MS64 RB, PCGS graded coin that I bid for on ebay. I'd post a picture but I don't want to steal your thunder. Like your sentiments, it seems extravagant, as it cost me more than any other coin I purchased for my cents collection. I am glad I got it as it sums up what Canadian Small Cents means to me.

@punman,

Please post! I enjoy looking at coins as much as I enjoy collecting them!

I was "bullied" into doing this set by my northern colleagues, I will gladly "bully" others into completing a set!

And thank you for your story. It sounds like mine with my Whitman Lincoln Cent folders, while I have nicer coins I started those sets with I was 7, I can't seem to part with them!

The finger print on the front detracts a little but the reverse is very nice!

I enjoyed reading through the pages of your link to the Large Cents. Now that you have completed both, do you prefer the large or small cents?

I like the large cents because of size and also the history of the Maritime provinces.
