I have inherited a bunch of coins and am trying to honor the person who collected them..not just taking them to a coin machine at the supermarket. For instance, I have at least 15 of 60 needed for Lincoln Head Cent 1909 to 1940, including a 1925 D and 1926 S used and worn. I am not a coin collector but would like to find a way to get the older coins to someone who needs to complete a collection, etc.

You could check with a local boy scout troop, maybe someone is working on a coin collecting merit badge.

Thank you all for the ideas and the welcome. I will explore a donation to the boy or girl scouts.
