Not unusual for a wartime cent.
They used the dies as long as possible.

Looks like an even later die state of Zoell LP66q (Zoell's coin did not have the die crack from the date). Does your coin have the die crack through the D of CANADA?

The 1940's were notorious for die cracks and chips but I have yet to come across this one. Nice find!
