I have several hundred tokens, many of them silver from the Vatican, Poland, and elsewhere, and there doesn't really seem to be much of a central database to assist in valuing these! I will try to get as many, with composition if I know it posted to see if there is anyone else familiar with them, and where I should post them to sell them.

Quote: where I should post them to sell them. While we would love to see your collection (especially if you separate out each coin into its' own thread or if not at least group like things together). However, you do not have enough posts to sell on CCF. Here is a link to the selling rules: http://goccf.com/t/221419Also, one potentially good place for you to check out for more information on your tokens is tokencatalog.com. I look forward to seeing what you have there!

Medals and their value are not that well documented, unless they are a really popular series. In terms of value, you would have to go to auctions or ebay to see what they have actually sold for.

@oriole most of the ones I have are not well documented, though a few are on the Vatican site. @Spence I was just going to post them in this thread if that is okay? I wasn't going to try to sell them here, so much as try getting a good idea which platform people are more likely to look on, some sites like Etsy I know suck for coin sales, and places like ebay sometimes end using so many fees that you end up losing all real profit.

Yes sure of course, we do have some threads where someone will post lots of similar coins that they have purchased. It isn't my area of expertise, but I wonder if these will be worth over melt value. It is very nice to have them hand-numbered; I'm not sure how widely they are collected though.

Religious and specialty subjects silver rounds would sell for what ever the LCS is currently buying silver rounds at with a small premium if you are lucky. Since they are all related subject matter. You would be better served locking up auctions houses that deal in religious items, silver rounds and medals. Google is your friend. You will have another problem due to the language. As a lot of the younger crowd barely speaks English. And the polish speaking age group is like the older collectors, they are fast meeting St. Mike at the pearly gates. The medals you have not only have a small collectors group, they even fit in to a smaller niche group. good luck.

For information on Italian Papal medals try searching Lamoneta.it under the heading medaglie papali. It should give you details of artist, mintage etc. but doesn't give valuations.

@thisistheshow thank you after one poster I was starting to have doubts about putting in the effort. I'll list some pictures tonight while I'm working on my online shops. @Circus LCS? local coin shop? Why would anyone ever sell to one? I can see buying from one, but selling to one would be a good way to get skinned alive, at any shop I have found when dealing with specialty items. I could see selling on Etsy, ebay etc.. Usually one I buy things though it is from estate auctions, state safe deposit box sales, Marshall sales etc.

@Spence These two were done as a limited edition set, in both English and Polish. I am not sure if they were originally sold as a set or not, though they were obtained that way.
