Hi All,

I'm new to coin collecting, and I came across this 1952 D Lincoln Wheat Penny- I can't find another like this one online to compare it too, but it looks like it may be a double die, maybe? Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

Looks like it was squeezed and it flattened the devices. We see this a lot. (Just never found a real reason to know what exactly what was done. Sometimes damage, it just damage?

@mpau, first welcome to CCF. Second I agree with @coop that it isn't a doubled die, but rather damage, perhaps circulation flattening.
