I'm not very good at Doubled Dies but I believe it's only Machine Doubling, not a DDO.

Machine Doubling affects the edges of designs and bust. A doubled die will show a spread on the center area or notching on the corners of devices:

Seeing a bunch of these might help you to see what a doubled die would look like on this area.
On the single squeeze dies, the DDO would be on the ear lobe instead of that area. (Not sure exactly when they started on quarters though) Another project for another day.
