It kind of looks like damage to me? You can see the pushed metal look next to it. The metal looks like a wave.

It looks like a wave because of the shadow being cast on the fluting of the torch. I don't see a contact mark, and the leaf has increased in size.

Oh, wait! I get the fluting thing now. The shadow is larger because of that ridge.
